The programmes for 1930-31 also reflect the popularity of swimming within the local area with swimmers listed in the Open Handicap races from Holbeck, Hunslet, Selby, Skipton, Dewsbury, Bramley, Bradford Dolphins and other clubs.
Each entrant will have paid an entry fee to compete for such prizes as in 1930, 1st - A tea set, 2nd - A set of carvers, 3rd - A glass biscuit barrel. In 1931 the prizes included 1st - A tea set, 2nd - Barometer Hall set, 3rd - A clock.

The price of all programmes prior to the war was 2d.
Entrance to the gala for spectators varied according to viewing position with the prices being as follows :- Reserved Seats, Area of baths 1s/9d and 1s/6d, Reserved Seats, Balcony 1s/3d, Area of baths standing 1s, Balcony standing 6d.
As you can imagine these prices were not cheap but you did get a full evenings entertainment (pre popular TV) for your entry fee.
